Community Broadband Act - no State can prohibit a municipality from offering broadband to its citizens; and when a municipality is itself a provider, it cannot abuse its governmental authority as regulator to discriminate against private competitors.
Preserving Innovation in Telecom Act - a bill aimed to prohibit municipal governments from offering telecommunications, information or cable services except to remedy market failures by private enterprise to provide such services.
Broadband Investment and Consumer Choice Act - a bill aimed to create a "market driven telecommunications marketplace," to eliminate government managed competition of existing communications services and to provide "regulatory parity" for "functionally equivalent services."
